July 2010- MIDSTATE MEDICAL CENTER REQUIRED STROKE EDUCATION
MidState Medical Center Medical Control is requiring CVA continuing education for all of the EMS staff it sponsors. Attached is the PowerPoint presentation. Pre and Post tests need to be completed and turned into MidState Medical Center. Printed copies are available through the EMS Operations Office. All EMS staff members need to turn the tests into the MidState EMS Office by August 15, 2010. If you have any questions contact Tom Russell at 203-694-8594.

August 13, 2008 Use of MidState's helipad for Lifestar landing (Dr. Tilden memo) This policy gives us the flexibility to go right to the helicopter verses having to go to the ED. As a reminder, if the patient is not stable and you need physician intervention you can go to the ED.
August 22, 2008 Pyxis Access-All MidState Sponsored paramedics who have Pyxis access need to sign up for the BioID access. Review the attached memo and poster on how to sign up. This new ID system uses a finger to sign in verses a password. Users will not need to change their password.
July 6, 2009 - Pyxis access for paramedic kits- This memo covers the issues around storing multiple paramedic kits in the EDOU pyxis.
December 2, 2009 - New ED triage process. This memo covers the new procedure being used by the triage nurse when bringing a patient into MidState's Emergency Department.
